Parent Reminders!

Please send notes to school for change of pm dismissal transportation, vacation, scheduled days off, etc. We have 278 students at Saint Mary’s and we want them all to get to the correct locations. Good communication is essential for things to flow smoothly!! Please help keep EVERYONE informed!

PLEASE REMEMBER to send your child to school with coats, hats and gloves – students may go out for fresh air at recess. Also, it's a good idea to label all student items with their names: lunch boxes, coats, sweat shirts, and sweater, hats, gloves, etc. Items are always being found, and labeling will help find its rightful owner! Thank you in advance for your help!

Virus, cold & flu season are upon us. Remember to discuss with your children the importance of hand-washing - it's the best prevention for spreading germs.

If you have a concern, please remember to address your concerns to the appropriate person as soon as possible, waiting often causes other issues. Remember, most concerns are due to no communication or miscommunication.

Every Thursday Communication Envelopes will be sent home with your child. Important papers to keep you informed of what is going on at Saint Mary’s School and our community will be sent home in the Communication Envelopes. A few things to remember…

  • Please return the communication envelope to school with your child each week

  • Please do not return any completed forms, notes, checks, etc. in the communication envelope. Your child’s teacher does not look through the envelope. Forms, notes, etc. should be sent in through school directly to your teacher or the school office.

Art Room Needs for the Golf Outing
The Art Room is looking for old wooden chairs or stools. If you have any lying around in your basement or attic, St. Mary artists want them! Students will be painting these into masterpieces to be auctioned off at this year's Golf Outing. Ideally, chairs would be not too large, sanded and maybe primed. Drop them off in the Art Room any time before April 10th. Thank You!!

More needs for the Art Room...
The Art Room is looking for Large Rolls of Paper from Printers!! If anyone works for or knows someone who works with a printing company, the Art Room would love to have any leftover donations of rolls of paper! Many of our murals for the Art Show were created on rolls of paper previously donated to St. Mary School. We are currently running low and are gearing up for this spring's Art Show. Any donations would be greatly appreciated!

also.... Art Room is always looking for Styrofoam egg cartons and large plastic yogurt containers! Please think about recycling these items to our Art Program. Thank you very much to all those who already sent in art room goodies!!

Log onto Artsonia today to see your child's artwork and order gifts online! Every parent should have been emailed a link with their child's access to our school's online gallery. Please email kgiangiulio@smsk-8.org with any questions. To view our school gallery, go to www.artsonia.com/schools/school.asp?id=112141.
