The Help Section:

Keep up the good work!

A huge thanks to all those who have been writing "change" in afternoon dismissal notes. This practice greatly helps with an efficient afternoon dismissal. Thank you for your assistance! Sending in a note about your child’s afternoon dismissal is extremely important. Many teachers are too busy to check email throughout the day. With 298 students and changes to transportation all day long, getting all students to the right mode of transportation is challenging.

Saint Francis Inn Service Project

Please bring in travel size hygiene products to receive a free pajama day on April 30th! Each child must bring in 4 items. Thank you! The last day to bring items in is April 16th.

Supplies Needed
The Pre-K 4’s class is in need of artificial silk flowers  and 18 oz plastic peanut butter jars.

Also, if your child has outgrown their Lego’s, please consider donating them to the Lego Club. The children will be thrilled to play with them. Thanks so much!

Library News - Big Thanks!
1001 Books have been cataloged into the library, the last few months. Rachel Dwyer and Amy Missimer have donated a plethora of hours making the new books available in our library. Thank you very much ladies for your dedication to Saint Mary’s. If anyone has any contact paper they'd like to donate, please send them into school.

Sponsor a Classroom

7 of the 12 classrooms now have new desktop computers. Thanks to generous donations by school families and parishioners. Only 5 classrooms to go. Please help us meet our goal in keeping Saint Mary School state of the art!

Help our school and the environment at the same time!

Our school is participating in TerraCycle® Brigade® collection programs! TerraCycle is a company that “upcycles” materials into eco-friendly products. During lunch, we will be collecting empty drink pouches and Entenmann’s Little Bites pack. For each unit of waste collected, St. Mary’s will earn TerraCycle points redeemable for payment to our school. For more information, please check out their website www.terracycle.com!

 Easy Fundraiser
This year we are participating in a hassle-free fundraiser called Shoparoo. Nationwide, 7,000+ schools are already fundraising through Shoparoo and we see it as great opportunity for us to make a difference this year. Please click this link for more information on this FREE and EASY way to help our school.

Corporate Matching Gifts

Corporate Matching Gifts are a great way to maximize contributions to the St. Mary School Fund. The St. Mary’s School Fund plays a vital role in supplying the revenue necessary to bring new instructional practices and resources to our school. Many companies offer their employees and retirees an opportunity to support a favorite charity by matching contributions, in some cases dollar for dollar. Please check with your employer to see if they have a Matching Gift program. Many employer programs are easy, on-line submission, and our Parish Finance Office is experienced in providing support and documentation. Here are just some of the employers in our area that have matching gift programs: Merck, Fidelity, John Hancock, Exelon/PECO, Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline, Vanguard, SKF, Verizon, GE, SAP. Not sure how to get started? Check with your company’s HR dept. for direction on their matching gift program. You can also contact the Parish Office who may be able to point you to a fellow parishioner who has already used your employer’s matching gift program.
