Parent Reminders

Please remember to label all student items with their names: lunch boxes, coats, sweat shirts, and sweaters. Items are always being found, and labeling will help find its rightful owner! Thank you in advance for your help!

Virus, cold & flu season are approaching. Remember to discuss with your children the importance of hand-washing - it's the best prevention for spreading germs.

If you have a concern, please remember to address your concerns to the appropriate person as soon as possible, waiting often causes other issues. Remember, most concerns are due to no communication or miscommunication.

Every Thursday Communication Envelopes will be sent home with your child. Important papers to keep you informed of what is going on at Saint Mary’s School and our community will be sent home in the Communication Envelopes. A few things to remember…

  • Please return the communication envelope to school with your child each week

  • Please do not return any completed forms, notes, checks, etc. in the communication envelope. Your child’s teacher does not look through the envelope. Forms, notes, etc. should be sent in through school directly to your teacher or the school office.

Congratulations to...

...St Mary students who received an invitation to take the Neumann Scholarship Test: Sophia Ardizzi, Amy Casas, Laurel Chung, Sofia Farrell, Rachel Grossbauer, Thomas Heibeck, Abbey Kofeldt, Mackenzie McCafferty, Bailey McCausland, Darby Spina, and Christopher White. Please keep our Neumann Scholar students in your prayers!

The Neumann Scholars Program, honoring the founder of our parochial schools, St. John Neumann, the fourth bishop of Philadelphia (1852-1860), is an initiative sponsored by the Connelly Foundation. Developed in 1994 to promote and reward academic excellence among students in parish/regional schools, the program provides scholarships in each district of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to those who excel in an independently administered test. Students designated as Neumann Scholars are offered four year scholarships to any of the seventeen Archdiocesan High Schools. For each of the four years in high school, the annual amount of the Neumann Scholarship will be equal to the standard parental tuition announced in January of each year by the Office of Catholic Education. Any fees will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian.

Our themes for Student of the Month this year:

September – Charity February – Generosity
October – Honesty March – Self Control
November – Peace April – Faithfulness
December – Patience May – Respect
January – Kindness/Goodness
