St. Mary School Earns Re-accreditation!!

St. Mary Catholic School has earned re-accreditation by the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools, a worldwide leader in accreditation and continuous school improvement. Accreditation is a self-evaluation process that St. Mary Catholic School voluntarily underwent to demonstrate they are meeting a defined set of performance standards. Re-accreditation confirms and validates the work we do each and every day to ensure a top quality education for our students. Click here to read more information about this wonderful achievement!

Parent Reminders

Parent Teacher conference times went home last week. If you did not receive your time, please email epastorius@smsk-8.org. There will be child care in the Pre-School class room.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO PUT NAMES IN ALL COATS, AND SWEAT SHIRTS! Remember, it's a good idea to label all student items with their names: lunch boxes, coats, sweat shirts, and sweater, hats, gloves. Items are always being found, and labeling will help find its rightful owner! Thank you in advance for your help!

Virus, cold & flu season are upon us. Remember to discuss with your children the importance of hand-washing - it's the best prevention for spreading germs.

If you have a concern, please remember to address your concerns to the appropriate person as soon as possible, waiting often causes other issues. Remember, most concerns are due to no communication or miscommunication.

Every Thursday Communication Envelopes will be sent home with your child. Important papers to keep you informed of what is going on at Saint Mary’s School and our community will be sent home in the Communication Envelopes. A few things to remember…

  • Please return the communication envelope to school with your child each week

  • Please do not return any completed forms, notes, checks, etc. in the communication envelope. Your child’s teacher does not look through the envelope. Forms, notes, etc. should be sent in through school directly to your teacher or the school office.

Huge Thanks...

...Many thanks to Saint Mary School Class of 2013 and the Home and School Association for their generous donation for a NEW Saint Mary Parish SIGN! The MAIN SIGN on the front lawn in front of Saint Mary Church has been recently removed in order for a NEW SIGN to be installed. Mr. Paul Brady will construct a BRICK PILLAR on each side of the NEW SIGN. Electricity and a concrete base will be placed in the same location of our OLD SIGN. The NEW SIGN has been purchased and will be installed in the next few weeks. Our NEW SIGN will be illuminated from within and will have a 4 row marquee for various announcements. Funds have been supplied by the Class of 2013 and our own Home and School Association. We truly appreciate their commitment to Saint Mary Parish.
