Our History
Saint Mary Parish has a quaint, nostalgic beginning. In 1922, twenty-five families raised money to purchase a building on Spring Mount Road. They came together to financially support and purchase a creamery to convert and establish a Catholic church in the community. While the Catholic community experienced growth, the need for a Catholic school emerged. In 1961, a four-classroom school was built followed by a convent. To keep up with enrollment, in 1982 an additional five classrooms were built along with the parish hall. Fast forward to 2022! Since 1961, what began as a 20 student schoolhouse has blossomed into an engaged 200+ student community. A bedrock in the community, many families - new and legacy alike - seek Saint Mary Catholic School to educate their children.
A Catholic School of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Accredited by Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges in October 1996 and re-accredited in April 2007 and Fall 2022.
