Saint Mary Catholic School students enjoy several activities during the school year. The Christmas pageant involves every grade, from K-8. We enjoy assemblies to entertain and educate our children. We have Music Concerts twice a year; annual fire and bus safety assemblies; and pep rally's provide the opportunity for students to develop and grow with their peers.
Our yearly Field Day is a wonderful event where students participate in competitive events, enjoy a grilled hot dog lunch, and end up the day cheering on 8th-grade students in a volleyball game against the faculty.
Grades 5 through 8 can participate in soccer, basketball*, softball, track and field, baseball, golf, volleyball, and field hockey offered by our Catholic Youth Organization (CYO). *4th-8th
A Student Council meets to address student concerns and policies that govern the school, are involved in various fundraising events for local charities, and host seasonal dances for grades 6-8.
Volunteer parents also present a Friday Storyteller program for grade K-3 in which a story is read followed by a craft activity and sometimes a special snack.
The Music Program offers any student in grades 4 through 8 who wishes music lessons on an instrument such as percussion, brass, wind, or woodland. Each student receives lessons once a week during school hours, students must complete schoolwork missed during lessons. Participation in Choir is also an option.
The school philosophy encourages parent involvement in all school activities. Parental involvement is crucial to our many activities and we are proud of our community involvement.
