I was born in the Logan section of Philadelphia, Baptized at Holy Child Church on Broad Street, now Our Lady of Hope. Growing up in Lansdale, I attended St. Stanislaus Elementary School and Lansdale Catholic High School. Three weeks after graduating high school I was off to Parris Island, SC, “Boot Camp” for the United States Marine Corp. I spent 4 years in the Marines as an avionics technician, working on F-4 Phantom Fighter Jets. After the Marine Corp I worked several jobs (landscaper, concrete pre-caster, every job in the kitchen, among other jobs), while attending school at Montgomery County Community College and Gwynedd Mercy College. My main job while in school was working with Lynch Homes meeting the needs of individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. After Graduating, with a Bachelor in Arts in History and Education from Gwynedd Mercy, I started teaching Sixth Grade at Nativity of Our Lord School in Warminster. At that time Sue Klunder, the first lay principal in the Archdiocese, encouraged me to pursue administration. I began a Master’s Program at St. Joseph’s University and attended the Office of Catholic Educations Principal Program. Soon after completing my programs of study earning a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, I applied for the principal position at St. Mary Catholic School. I married my wife, Carol, in 1990 and started a family. My sons, Shane and Ian are both graduates of St. Mary’s. It continues to be my great honor to serve St. Mary Parish school community.
