Hello!
I began my journey with SMS as a volunteer parent, then became a substitute teacher for all grade levels, PreK through Eighth. This is my second year as the eighth-grade homeroom teacher. I also teach all middle school level science and several religion classes. Before that, I was the director of Youth Ministry at my home parish, St. Philip Neri, serving students in grades seven through twelve. I have served as a catechist teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades for the last 16 years.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a concentration in adolescence and child psychology from Capella University. Over the years, I have received extensive training and earned a variety of certifications in Catholic youth ministry. I am currently enrolled at Immaculata University, earning a second bachelor's in elementary education as well as my Pennsylvania teachers certification for grades PreK through twelve. My husband, Matt, and I are active members within our home parish. We have 4 children: Gavin, is currently a senior at Neumann University; Aurora, is a senior at PJPII High School; Dominic, 7th grade, and Joselyn, 2nd grade; both attend SMS.
I am thrilled to be a part of the learning experience with your children. I am excited to guide our students individually so that each will achieve success through Christ.
