Hello Pre-K5 Families,
My name is Mrs. Taverna, and I will have the pleasure of being your child’s Pre-K5 teacher this year. I am very excited to get started and see everyone’s smiling face.
A little bit about myself; I graduated from West Chester University with my degree in Elementary Education. I worked in Souderton Area School District for eight years. I spent one of those years as a Title 1 teacher working in small groups offering targeted student support. The remaining years, I was a building substitute, which offered me a wide variety of teaching opportunities both short and long term, as well as special areas.
I have lived in the area for 20 years with my husband and three children. When I’m not at school, I love playing board games with my family, bowling, cheering on the Flyers and all the other Philadelphia sports teams. I also enjoy watching movies at home with my family, while my crazy dog chases our cat around the house.
I am very much looking forward to seeing everyone and beginning our Pre-K5 adventure together.
