Hi! My name is Melissa Moffa, and I am so excited to be full-time at Saint Mary’s! I have taught for a total of 8 years, teaching children from Pre-K to 8th grade. Last year I was a part-time aide in the 1st and 2nd-grade classrooms here at SMS. I’m thrilled to be the new fourth-grade teacher!!
I was raised in West Chester and Malvern, PA, and moved to Collegeville in 2004. My husband works for Baltimore Gas and Electric, and we have three children; Joey, Nicholas, and Sarah, and two dogs; Misty (Golden Retriever) and Chip (Corgi). Joey and Nicholas are a rising junior and sophomore at Pope John Paul II High School, and Sarah is in the 7th grade at SMS! You can find us on the mountains skiing or snowboarding during the winter months, and in the summer, we love spending time in OCNJ! In my free time, I love watching my kids play their sports, especially field hockey and lacrosse! A little fun fact about me is that I completed Ironman Maryland (140.6 miles) in 2016!
I graduated from Cabrini University in 2002 with a triple degree in Special, Elementary, and Early Childhood Education. In 2010 I graduated from Cabrini’s Master's Program in Education. I am very excited to work with the fourth-grade students at SMS!!
